Egg Custard Pie

This week I thought I'd go with a sweet pie. I've always enjoyed a good custard pie, so I figured that would be a good first sweet pie for the blog.

Chipotle Chicken

This is the second Mexican inspired pie in a couple of weeks, and I guess it's because Mexican food often is made to be placed inside some sort of wrapper - a tortilla, taco, tamales etc. Mexican food is also delicious, so should be available in a pie.

This is a spicy chipotle chicken pie, with a few veges thrown in. It was pretty amazing, and tasted even better than I'd hoped.

Lamb Tagine Pie

A tagine is a Moroccan stew, usually a mixture of chicken or lamb (or goat if it's authentic Moroccan), root vegetables, fruit and spices like cumin and cinnamon.  It's a delicious dish, and one that lends itself well to a pie form.

Breakfast Pie, take one (Huevos Rancheros Pie)

This week involves a real bit of ex"pie"rimentation. Huevos Rancheros is one of my favourite breakfast meals. It usually involves spreading a fried tortilla with a ranch style chilli sauce, topped with refried beans and an egg. It's an awesome start to the day, but I thought it might be even more awesome in pie form. So this is my first attempt at a breakfast pie - and it was delicious.
